Wuns Tea Room

Nestled on the corner of Greek Street and Old Compton Street a transformation took place from traditional Bun House to a Tea Room and Bar ready to take on the vibrant Soho district.

The feature wall left the exposed original brickwork on view through cracks in a layer of plaster, this gives a dilapidated effect before being finished with gold leaf and shades of grey and white, which captures the light from the vast exterior windows. The floor was finished with the existing Moroccan style tile and newly installed large Terrazzo tiles. Sitting atop these tiles are various sized tables built using cast iron legs, marble effect vinyl, sandblasted glass and encapsulated by a brushed brass edge.

This is another successful project for the budding Bluecrow Joinery portfolio that delivered intricate details including a tea station, swing doors and drink preparation area. The bespoke seating was designed by Five Line Projects, constructed by Bluecrow Joinery, upholstered beautifully by Atlas Contract Furniture with a mix of House of Hackney Opia velvet with dark green leather and installed by the Bluecrow team. It creates an excellent spot to sit comfortably with some Sour Plum Braised Duck and a Mojito De La Habana and watch the world go by!
